Centenary Camp - 28-05-2007

Over the long weekend of 25th to 28th May, 13 Lambarde Scouts joined members from all sections of 3rd Sevenoaks for a fun packed camping weeked TO CELEBRATE 100 YEARS OF SCOUTING. After setting up camp on friday night, the Scouts set about making their patrol areas home from home for the weekend. Soon they were happily cooking away, making some interesting breakfasts.

(ENOUGH FOR THREE WEEKS ) OF SUGAR. HE DID NOT STAND STILL ALL WEEKEND !!

On Saturday the Scouts took part in team building tasks with members from the other sections and cooked their lunch over a open fire. The evening was spent with songs around the camp fire before crashing back in the tents.

Sunday saw a fun packed day with many adventurios activities. Lambarde troop scooped 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the lazer clay shooting, well done to Danny, Alex and Joe.

There was much fun had by all on the bungie run and lazer quest.

However, in true Lambarde tradition the heavens opened. This did not dampen the Scouts enthusiasum (well it shouldn't, we are founder members of the soaked to the skin club) as they tackled the assault course in the mud.

And as if they were not wet enough, they went swimming !!!

The evening was rounded off with a Troop performance of Jake-the-Peg, which went down well.

The Scouts had a great weekend and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Rose (GSL) for all the hard work in organising such a fantastic camp.
