October Weekend Camp - 08-10-2006
Lambarde Scout Troop has just completed their October Camp over a very wet and windy weekend. Even though the weather conditions took a turn for the worst the Scouts battled on in good spirits right up till the end. After pitching their tents in the dark the troop settled down to what was for many their first night under canvas The next day the troop took part in a High Ropes Assault Course and a soaking to the skin in a very heavy downpour. They returned to camp to make mallets using their axes, saws and knifes. A hearty dinner of toad-in-the-hole was followed by a camp fire.
The following day saw the rain set in for good, but this was not to dampen the Scouts enthusiasm as they set about preparing their breakfast. The rest of the morning was spent polishing up their camp skills before a trip to the bowling alley. Upon returning to the site the Scouts set about cooking their evening meal and striking tents before final parade (in the rain) and home.
Breakfast laid out just like at the Hilton.
Kestrel Patrol tuck in.
Falcon Patrol likewise.
