The RodeoTimes

RodeoTimesFor a number of years now, Wednesday of camp has remained a secret. Last year we surprised the Scouts with 'A year in a Day' waking them up to find it Christmas morning. This year they found themselves in Reality TV, woken up by Big Brother "This is DeLeader, Scouts you have been evicted, please leave the Big Brother Tent". Armed with their copy of the RodeoTimes (programme of the day) they completed challenges throughout the day to win items in their luxury food budget to be cooked in their cooking competition at the end of the day (Ready Steady Cook).

Activities included creating a Patrol Song for Big Brother, building and racing a water carrying device in Scrap Heap Challenge, competing in 'The Games'. A number of Special programmes were also added to the schedule including 'Bruces Price is Right' where Patrols guessed whether items were higher or lower to win food items. The girls also added their own special programme giving some of the Scouts and leaders a 'Celebrity Makeover'.

  • Moose were first to complete the RodeoTimes crossword
  • Panther won the Scrapheap Challenge
  • Wolf created the best Patrol song
