The DIY badge starts!! - 02-02-2010
With the enthusiasm of 10 parents the Stanhope cubs got to grips with saws,hammers, drills, sandpaper and screw drivers while starting to make their Key racks and bookends.
After the initial 'oh my god what have i let myself in for' from the parent, everyone settled down to a constructive evening of learning and usuing the tools needed to make their objects.
Out came the work Benches, rulers and then finally the bit the cubs were looking forward to - the saws and hammers!!
Next week will be much of the same with the cubs completing their projects ready to decorate.
