Scouts at winter camp
9th January 2012
42 Scouts, leaders and Explorers from Riverhead joined 3,000 others from all over the UK for the Winter camp at Gilwell park over the weekend.
Not the coldest winter camp but a good camp to test that Scouts are prepared.
More than 30 activities were on offer from archery to zorbing. many of the Scouts took part in 4 x 4 off road driving, quad biking, seqways ,laser clay shooting, high and low rope challenges as well as enjoying the disco and cinima in the evening as well as many others so who said that Scouts was all about tyeing knots?
