Bradbourne Scout Troop

Hi and welcome to the 3rd Sevenoaks Bradbourne Scout Troop!

We meet every Thursday 7.15pm-9.15pm for young people aged 10½-14 years old.

Summer Camp 2023 at the Scout Stone on Brownsea Island - the home of the first Scout camp led by Robert Baden-Powell. 

The Troop is very active and takes part in many activities. A brief look at some of the things we get up to can be found by clicking on the index. We are a very active and full section. Some of our past activities include microlighting, summer camps, waterpark and mud run.

The Scout Troop is run by a team of six adult volunteer leaders and four young leaders (14-18 years old). The leadership team have many years of experience and are enthusiastic about passing on their knowledge, skills and passion to our Scouts. The Troop is made up of six patrols with 53 Scouts, open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10½ and 14.  

We meet throughout the year and only stop for a couple of weeks during key holiday periods. Troop meetings are a mix of activities from team challenges to games and training. We also hold many activities outside of these meetings, including at least three camps a year.

We have a winter camp in January, a long weekend camp in May and then a week-long summer camp. This summer camp in July or August is a 'greenfield camp' which means we arrange to camp in a farm field in a nice area and enjoy the countryside around us. 

Every four years we also join Kent International Jamboree (KIJ) to introduce the Scouts to the true international flavour of Scouting.
