Bradbourne Scout Troop
Summer Camp 2023 at the Scout Stone on Brownsea Island - the home of the first Scout camp led by Robert Baden-Powell.
The Bradbourne Troop meets every Thursday at 7:15pm until 9:15pm.
The Troop is open to both boys and girls aged between 10½ years and 14 years and takes part in many activities, which have included micro-lighting, camps, a visit to a waterpark as well as a mud run.
It is managed by a team of six adult volunteer leaders and four young leaders. The leadership team have many years of experience and are enthusiastic about passing on their knowledge, skills and passion to the Scouts.
Troop meetings are a mix of activities from team challenges to games and training. We also hold many activities outside of these meetings, including at least three camps a year.
The Troop has a winter camp in January, a long weekend camp in May and then a week-long summer camp in July or August that takes place in the countryside. Every four years it also joins Kent International Jamboree (KIJ) where the Scouts can experience the international nature of Scouting.
