Hi and welcome to the 3rd Sevenoaks Bradbourne Scout Troop!
The Troop is very active and takes part in many activities. A brief look at some of the things we get up to can be found by clicking on the index .
The Scout Troop is run by a team of nine adult volunteer leaders and four young leaders (14-18 years old). The leadership team has years of experience and are enthusiastic about passing on their knowledge, skills and passion to the youngsters. The troop is made up of six patrols with 53 Scouts. The troop is open to both boys and girls between the age of 10½ and 14.
We meet all through the year and only stop for a couple of weeks. Troop meetings are a mix of activities from team challenges to games and training. We also hold many activities outside of these meetings, including at least three camps a year.
We have a winter camp in January, a long weekend camp in May and then a week-long summer camp. This summer camp in July or August is a 'greenfield camp' which means we arrange to camp in a farm field in a nice area and enjoy the countryside around us.
Every four years we also join Kent International Jamboree (KIJ) to introduce the Scouts to the true international flavour of Scouting.
Not sure if it's for you? Why not drop us a line and find out more.
We also welcome anyone over 18 who is interested in joining the leadership team to get in touch for a chat and see how you can get involved. We welcome flexible volunteering so if you can't make every week then don't worry!
Please contact email@example.com for more information about what we do or getting involved.
